If you are passionate about nature and animals, there is nothing like enjoying a hiking trip accompanied by your dog. These types of adventures are not only an opportunity to explore stunning landscapes, but also to strengthen the special bond you have with your best friend.

Tips to get the most out of the experience

  • Choose an appropriate stage: Make sure the route is suitable for your dog's fitness level and that pets are allowed.

  • Equip yourself correctly: Bring enough water and a suitable leash and, in summer, protect yourself from excessive heat.

  • Respect nature: Always pick up rubbish and follow local regulations to preserve natural spaces.

  • Find out about dog-friendly accommodations that we have on the route. In the  Services section of this website, you'll see that  the accommodations on the Catalan side that accept dogs  are marked with this icon.We accept dogs

BERGUEDÀ:

Berga Resort

We accept pets upon prior request  in most accommodations (not  in all)

 

Els Roures Rustic Apartments and Restaurants:

 We accept  them inside the apartments whenever  do not disturb other guests.

Due  to allergy issues, we restrict dogs from getting on sofas and beds.

 

A cleaning fee is charged because a special cleaning is required after a dog has been present.

 

Cal Barbut

They accept dogs in the rooms and garden but not in the dining room. 

Supplement of €10 per dog per night 

 

Rasos de Peguera Refuge

Dogs  can sleep in a designated area of the refuge, but not in the shared dormitories.

 

Molí de Gósol Refuge

Dogs can sleep somewhere in the house, except for shared bedrooms.

 

Vents del Cadí Refuge

We accept dogs, and they can sleep in the rooms.

What’s more , we provide feed for free so that they don't have to bring it for the entire route.

 

CERDANYA

Hotel Muntanya- Cerdanya Eco Resort:         

We accept dogs in the Bungalows, the Apartments (both with a price of €18.50 per stay) and the Hotel, except for the hypo-allergenic studios, at a price of €12.50 per day.

They can be inside the room.

A cleaning fee is charged because a special cleaning is required after a dog has been present.

They cannot enter the Wellness or the dining room due to health regulations, but they can enter the bar-bistro and the terrace.

Special services: dog bathtub with hairdryer in case they return from the mountain very  dirty!

 

La Bruna Hostel

We accept dogs without any fee in the rooms with their owners, but they are not allowed in the common areas.

IMPORTANT! 

On the French part of the Camí dels Bons Homes, the restrictions on walking dogs in natural spaces are quite strict.

In some areas, such as the Orlú Reserve, regulations prohibit bringing dogs, even on a leash, to avoid conflicts with shepherds and ranchers.

In addition, overnight stays are not permitted in accommodations located along the  Camí dels Bons Homes  in  Ariège
