Cami dels Bons Homes

In this  section, we offer you modern recipes  that can be found in the  restaurants along the  Camí dels Bons Homes, inviting  you to take a small gastronomic journey back to the medieval era and discover a bit more about what and how people   ate  in Catalonia and Occitania at that time.


These dishes are based on  the ingredients available during the time of the Cathars and the techniques used back then. They are mainly inspired by the first edition of the book ‘La  Cuina al temps dels  Bons Homes’,  in which  gastronomer Toni Massanés  reconstructs dishes and meals documented in the records of the Inquisition  and other sources, comparing them with medieval cookbooks such as the ‘ Sent Soví’.
